At Altar Rock, Josh manages all aspects of the company’s feature and television development and production, including the upcoming 20th Digital/Hulu feature, THE MILL (starring Lil Rel Howery). Prior to joining Altar Rock, Josh ran film development and production for Kenya Barris’s company, Khalabo Ink Society, Josh and Kenya continue their partnership on the feature films ONE NIGHT IN COMPTON (Paramount) and GIRLS & BOYS (Netflix).
Josh spent four years as VP of Hasbro Studios, where he oversaw all aspects of development and production of television and movies based on Hasbro’s vast IP library, including the films: OUIJA: ORIGINS; TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT; TRANSFORMERS BUMBLEBEE; and DUNGEONS & DRAGONS. In 2017, Josh independently produced the feature animated adaptation of Hasbro's biggest girl's property, MY LITTLE PONY, which Lionsgate released worldwide in October 2017. In television, Josh produced a series based on Hasbro's "STRETCH ARMSTRONG" (debuted on Netflix in the Fall of 2017), Hasbro's "MICRONAUTS", as well as three different series based on Hasbro's biggest action property, "TRANSFORMERS".
Prior to Hasbro, Josh originated and developed many blockbuster features, including: CHRONICLE (Fox); ELYSIUM (Sony); X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST (Fox); LET’S BE COPS (Hasbro); CHAPPIE (Sony).
Outside his producing, Josh has found success as a screenwriter, with two appearances on the Hollywood Blacklist, a script sale to CBS Films. Josh also teaches film development in both the undergraduate and graduate film schools at University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned an MFA in Producing in 2008. During his time in the Producer's Program he produced an Emmy-winning short film, “Lucy: A Period Piece.” Josh is a Cum Laude graduate from University of California, San Diego.
