Barbara Goldner

Altar Rock Pictures was founded by my late husband Brian Goldner.  He was the CEO of Hasbro Inc. for almost 20 years and the producer of many iconic movies inspired by their flagship brands such as: Transformers, GI Joe, Battleship, Ouija and Dungeons and Dragons. At Altar Rock, my goal is to expand upon Brian’s mission and produce inclusive content that will be brought to life on screen to entertain children and their families. Prior to Altar Rock, I have served as a family therapist for over 30 years and use that expertise to understand our characters, our content and what will resonate with all audiences.  I have served as a clinical expert on the advisory board for The HUB Children’s television network, an offshoot of Discovery Kids, where I provided professional advice, insight, and recommendations to maintain responsible programing for children and their families. Additionally, I have served as a trustee for both the Bradley Psychiatric Children’s hospital and the Year Up program, which aims to close the opportunity divide and offer training and internships for underserved youth.  My passions have always centered around the well-being and mental health of youth in my community, and I aim to bring this expertise to the content under the Altar Rock banner.
